hmf.core._kernels.growthΒΆ

Kernels of the linear growth factor.

Everything here is a function of the scale factor a (dimensionless), through ln_a. Growth factors are returned unnormalised; the growth stage normalises them to 1 today. The growth rate is \(f = d\ln D / d\ln a\).

The cosmology enters as plain floats (density parameters today) or as arrays of background quantities tabulated on the ln_a grid by the caller.

Classes

GrowthTable(ln_a, ln_d, f, ln_d_spline, f_spline)

A growth factor and rate tabulated in ln a, normalised to D = 1 at a = 1.

Functions

carroll92_growth(a, omega_m_a, omega_l_a)

The approximate growth factor and rate of Carroll, Press & Turner (1992).

eisenstein97_growth(ln_a, omega_m)

The growth factor of a flat universe with Lambda and no radiation (Eisenstein 1997).

genmf_growth(ln_a, omega_m, omega_l)

The growth factor of the genmf code (Reed et al. 2007).

heath77_growth(ln_a, omega_m)

The growth factor of an open or closed universe without Lambda or radiation.

integral_growth(ln_a, efunc, dln_e_dln_a, ...)

The integral form of the growth factor (Heath 1977), and its growth rate.

ln_a_grid(a_min, dln_a)

A grid in ln a from ln(a_min) to 0 (included), with spacing dln_a.

solve_growth_ode(ln_a, dln_e_dln_a, ...)

Solve the linear growth equation with fixed-step fourth-order Runge-Kutta.

tabulate_growth(ln_a, d[, f])

Build a GrowthTable, normalising D to 1 at the last node.
