The suite of simulations a fit was calibrated on (metadata only).

This ports hmf 3.x’s SimDetails, corrected against the papers where it was wrong. It describes the simulations used to define the fit, not every one the paper compared it with. Per-simulation values are tuples (or Quantities) with one entry per simulation; a single value applies to all of them, and None means the paper does not state it. Being metadata, it compares by identity, not by value.

Parameters:
  • box_size (astropy.units.quantity.Quantity) – The comoving box sizes, a Quantity in h-units (stored in Mpc/h).

  • n_particles (tuple[Any, ...]) – The number of dark-matter particles in each simulation (hydrodynamical runs have as many gas particles again; see notes).

  • omega_m – The cosmological parameters of each simulation.

  • omega_b – The cosmological parameters of each simulation.

  • sigma_8 – The cosmological parameters of each simulation.

  • h – The cosmological parameters of each simulation.

  • n_s – The cosmological parameters of each simulation.

  • softening (astropy.units.quantity.Quantity | None) – The gravitational softening length (or, for AMR codes, the finest cell size), a Quantity in h-units (stored in Mpc/h).

  • transfer (tuple[Any, ...] | None) – The transfer function used for the initial conditions.

  • z_start (tuple[Any, ...] | None) – The starting redshift.

  • initial_conditions (tuple[Any, ...] | None) – How the initial conditions were made: "ZA" (the Zel’dovich approximation) or "2LPT".

  • halo_finder (str | None) – The halo-finding code.

  • n_min (int | None) – The minimum number of particles per halo used in the fit.

  • z_range (tuple[float, float] | None) – The redshift range over which the fit was measured, (min, max).

  • names (tuple[Any, ...] | None) – The simulations’ names in the paper.

  • notes (str) – Anything else worth knowing (corrections applied, other simulations, …).

  • source (str) – Where the details come from (paper, section, table).
