WDMRecalibrateMF

class hmf.alternatives.wdm.WDMRecalibrateMF(m, dndm0, wdm=<hmf.alternatives.wdm.Viel05 object>, **model_parameters)[source]

Base class for Components that emulate the effect of WDM on the HMF empirically.

Required method is dndm_alter().

The recalibrations below depend on the WDM model only through its half-mode mass, wdm.m_hm, so they work with any WDM model that defines it. Their parameters were, however, fitted with a particular transfer function (noted in each class), and the half-mode mass of another model differs: for Planck15, Bode01 gives an \(M_{\rm hm}\) 15%, 21% and 40% smaller than Viel05 at \(m_x\) = 0.5, 1 and 10 keV.

Parameters:
  • m (array_like) – Masses at which the HMF is calculated.

  • dndm0 (array_like) – The original HMF at m.

  • wdm (WDM subclass instance) – An instance of WDM providing a Warm Dark Matter model.

  • **model_parameters (unpack-dict) – Parameters specific to a model. To see the default values, check the _defaults class attribute.

Methods

dndm_alter()[source]

Alter the CDM dn/dm to impose WDM modeling.

classmethod get_models() → Mapping[str, type]

Get a read-only mapping of all implemented models for this component.

The mapping is a live view of the registry, so it shows models registered later, but it can not be used to add or remove models.
